Amy works from her home loft studio with the most amazing far reaching countryside views to create vibrant, colourful and expressive works drawing inspiration from trips, memories of family holidays and the ever-changing landscape around her.
Painting mainly in acrylics, her creative process is rooted in intuitive mark making. As Amy paints, she navigates the delicate balance between imagination and reality, taking in the colours, shapes and lines of nature.
Applying a bold and vivid colour palette, she masterfully uses colour to express emotion, joy and energy. Subtly abstracted from reality, Amy plays with colour and mark making to take the viewer into an exciting and joyful, almost dreamlike space. The perfect antidote to everyday life!
Art has always been a part of Amy’s life journey. From a young age she found joy in painting and crafting, a passion passed down from her Mum and Grandma who always encouraged her creativity. After studying Fine Art at university, Amy continued to pursue her passion for painting and even as life became busier raising three children, painting remained a constant source of joy. Now, as her children have grown a little, Amy has fully immersed herself into her painting to create the impressive body of work that I am proud to exclusively showcase.
